Our Mission

The Women’s HIV Program at UCSF provides comprehensive care that is interdisciplinary, culturally sensitive, and designed with evidence to allow our clients to realize their inherent health and power; creates a warm and supportive community that fosters sisterhood among our clients and a loving relationship between our staff and patients; performs world-class research and innovation that defines the most effective model of care for women and girls living with and at-risk for HIV; and provides local, national and international leadership and advocacy for an effective response to the broad health impacts of trauma- the leading cause of illness, death and disability in the United States.

About WHP

The Women’s HIV Program at UCSF has provided over 20 years of comprehensive care for women and adolescents living with HIV. Additionally, WHP conducts extensive research into trauma-informed primary care.
